UNinstalling a system update

Is it possible to uninstall a system update that I do not want? Hit the install now button by mistake.

Would I go back to a factory reset?

Thanks.

I hate system updates.......

Sorry man, unless you root, you're suck with it. And I'm not 100% you can do it even with root. I assume you're talking about JB since its the only update we've received. Even a FDR will reset your phone as if it came with JB.

I'd think you'd have to root and and install ICS(from somewhere). That was done via what was called "sbf" in the past. It's mildly complicated but not too bad. I did it on my Droid X and I'd say I'm on the low end of competence in doing these kinds of things. Don't know for sure if you can do that with the M. What is it you do not like about JB?
About the only think I don't like as well is the Dialer but that is it.

I guess in the big picture of things, I can live with it. Stupid little things I didn't like.....cursor used to move over when a word was typed, I see there is an option missing from the USB connection page, white back ground on my contacts......all little things. But, HEY! Life is made up of little things, ain't it???

Thanks for your help. I do appreciate your input.

Mike.....stuck with JB.
