unecessary stuff on sd card?

I have a lot of stuff on my sd card that I am pretty sure I don't need , however I don't know what I need not to delete , and for some reason in my gallery I have duplicate folders ( 2 messaging , 2 download folders). How does this happen ?

DO you know why i have some many different folders with the ppictures?
1) Handcent
2) camera
3) DCIM
4) Messaging
5) MMS
6) Pictures

How do I get one folder for all pictures to go in? I have to search all over when looking for pictures . Is it a way to take a screen shot to post with this thread , so maybe I can get a better understanding of what and what not to delete

All of the folders you are listing store pictures for their respective titles ie: handcent you will find pictures received and saved through the application Handcent
