Turning on and off e-mail notification sounds

New Android user here with an LG Vortex. I have 3 email accounts and would like only my business e-mail account to make a sound when I receive e-mail. Can I set individual accounts to make a sound or not or is this a global setting?

Depends on the email app. What are you using?

Using the native mail app gmail that comes with the phone, but for work it's Exchange and my long time personal e-mail account is with cox communications.
