Well if that aint something! Amazon just released their official instructions for building your own DIY Amazon Echo. The instructions call for the use of a Raspberry Pi. This could mean some serious savings for you if you are up for the project.
This might seem counter intuitive, but coming from Amazon it is sort of expected. Yes they lose out on Amazon Echo sales, but more than likely this gives the Amazon Echo experience to more people. In all reality the Amazon Echo is just another way to consume content purchased from Amazon.
