trying to root, "cant mount installation aborted"

trying to root my friends droid, using sprecovery trying to root with ese81update.zip i get this message when trying to install. never seen it before. any help? i tried skipping that and installing a custom rom and that didnt work either.


edit: there is aslo no nandroid folder in the root of the sdcard. why would that be? does it show up after you make your first backup?

I rooted quite some time ago and I had to create the nandroid file on my SD card. I'm not sure if the newer processes create the nandroid file but I would create one.

i reflashed the recovery sbf and it works now. thanks though.
