Transferring photos from phone to SD card

I did a search but the list of threads that came up were all over the place and not pertaining to the original Droid, so I apologize if the following has already been covered on another thread...

Whn I open up the gallery, I see to 'files' (for lack of a better word) one that says 'phone', and the other titled 'sd card'...I am a fairly experienced mobile device user, but damn, for the life of me I cannot figure out how to move the photos from the phone titled potion to the sd card title portion.

Anyone have the secret to this? TBV

All of the photos are on the SD card. You can access by using Astro or some other file manager app. Open Astro, tap SD card, look for a file named DCIM and tap camera. Your photos will in that file. You can, of course mount your phone and access as well. Just look for the file named DCIM.
