had the motorola droid for week, GREAT,,,will not revert back to the blackberry. one con: battery life, pro: its a toy i cant put down:)

:welcome: to the Droid Forums. I don't know what Blackberry you had previously but I find the battery life comparable to a Blackberry Storm. I think this is just the way things go for touch screen phones - That is if you want to call the Storm a touch screen phone, it's really a clicking screen phone.

There are several things you can do to help battery life.

Keep the brightness set as low as comfortable.
Always put it to sleep when you're done.
Decrease screen time out.
Increase apps update frequencies.
And the best thing i've done is to root and install setcpu. This allows you to control your cpu speed.
