Themers I need your help!

I'm trying to edit the phone.apk specifically change the font and color of the number buttons. For some reason when I push the apk to the phone the changes do not take. Even though using root explorer I can verify the .png files are changed. What am I doing wrong?

If someone is willing to help me I'll email you the phone.apk.

If you are talking about the regular dialpad it is in contacts.apk. the numbers in phone.apk are for the dialpad while in call.
