Themes are one of the many reasons that we root and rom our devices. Sure you can get a launcher theme that will change your icons and give you a new wallpaper, but if you want your entire system UI and framework themed you will have to run an AOSP rom that includes the theme engine. The theme engine allows developers to change every aspect of your roms theme. Cyanogen Mod 11, AOKP, and various other roms are compatible with theme chooser. The "Flats" theme by developer "Rayford85" has recently been updated. This theme is designed for the person who loves the look and feel of stock AOSP Vanilla android. If google made a flat UI this is what it would look like. This theme also includes custom flat icons. The icons maintain the stock look but with a flat appearance. The theme overall is very minimal with square lines throughout. System apps that have been themed include clock, contacts, settings, dialer, mms, rom control, paranoid preferences, calculator, google aosp keyboard, core google apks.
