My goal is to avoid touching xmls in order to keep compatibility @ a maximum.

A lot of themes have been dark lately, I'm on a crusade for white!

Wow, that was cheesy.

It's ok if you don't like this, its not for everyone.

Oh, and there is no timeline for release. Please don't ask. I just figured I'd throw out some early screencaps (yes, these aren't just PSDs) to gauge appeal and interest.

Interesting start.
I like the DE elements/look so far.
A bit too bold for my own likings, but the idea is sure to be a hit when finished!

I agree, there have been so many dark themes. This is certainly a welcome change to what has been out there. I'm excited to see where this goes.

Interesting concept. I wonder why Red & White though? Were you going for the colors of the Knights Templar or was Assassin's Creed an inspiration? Either way, I like it thus far. I don't know why, and it's probably just my monitor, but the red and white make it a very bright theme. I do like that grey background wallpaper, perhaps a little more grey in some areas? I don't know but I would like to see it get developed.

Looks good Kov...I like the clean simple look of the icons! I've always been a dark theme guy, but something like this would definitely get on my phone. Look forward to the release.

No, I hear you on it looking bright on the monitor. On my main screen, the red is literally screaming. On the phone however, its obviously bright, but not over the top. I actually stole the color from Google's suggested color palette, believe it or not.

And there will be more grey in some areas due to my not wanting to change xmls. I did a test with folders today (the ones you add on your homescreen) and there's definitely some situations where I won't be able to utilize white or red in order to stay true to my commitment of avoiding xml editing.

We'll see how it goes.

And yes, I was going after a Knight's Templar for some inspiration. You may seem some of that pop up in later areas that I've yet to theme and that are still theory in my head.

I hope this theme becomes real, it would definitely make it on my phone.
