texting - using contact list question......

Is there a way or app that allows you to use your contact list to send text to multiple contacts with out having to type out there names on the M-droid?

Have u tried Handcent? Whenever I want to forward a text or send a message all I have to do is either enter part of the number or a few letters of the name and then whoever I'm sending to comes up.

no I haven't....Just would like it to work like my old BB if that's possible of sending text. THANKS for the info
