Texting from my tablet through my razr. possible?

I am wondering if there is some way to text from my asus tf300 through my razr maxx. I am rooted on both devices, and use gosms on my maxx. Id there any apps that can do this. I would prefer not to have them assign a number and such. Something similar to the mighytext extension i use in chrome, where i can text to my phone thru chrome

MySMS is the one I use. It hasn't been working properly on my prime and thunderbolt, but they it worked well for a long time. Give it a try, it's definitely handy.

SyncSMS works great on my Xoom and Nexus.

so I could probably use SyncSMS to link my razr and droidX? DX is an old phone not activated now - going to take it on a missions trip..... This would be great if it works!!!

I don't see why it wouldn't work, can't hurt to try. You do need a dropbox account because that is what it uses to sync the messages. I would tweak the refresh settings too if I were you, I think the default is 5 minutes which is kind of long.

I just downloaded HeyWire.... they give you a phone number, so you can text.... they are heavy in ads..... but it does deliver immediately....

I use tablet talk on my thrive and it works great. You can sync your phone to your tablet via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. No need for a separate phone #...texts that are sent to your phone go directly to your tablet when connected.

I use textab with my bionic and galaxy tab 10.1. Works great.
