text messaging HELP

My text messaging was messing up so took battery out then put back in..and when I open one thread all the messages are now BLANK..it still shows the subject of the messages but the actual messages are blank..not deleted just blank..and only for ONE THREAD wth???

what happened to the messages?? how do I retrieve them??

I have a motorola i1 phone thats powered by Android..so it has android features..

CAN ANYONE HELP ME???
