I recently switched back to Bugless Beast V6.2.1 from GPA17, build 8-19, because I missed some of the features of Bugless. I was wondering if it is possible to take apps from BB and put them on 17? For example: taking the Music Mod from BB and install it on GPA17 and have all of its features work like the music player on the lockscreen. Would this be possible or would it affect how the ROM acts/responds, etc. I'm not concerned about Google's Music Beta so I could live without that. And I realize this is a STOCK ROM but I miss things that BB has to offer. Thanks in advance for your help.

I have thought about trying to move some of the BB scripts over. Of course this would be unsupported by Pete, but it may be as simple as moving Pete's script folder and running them from terminal.

As far as Music Mod, this is very easy. If you use Titanium Backup, you can backup/restore it. Works well, I use it.
You can also try extracting the apk from the ROM and running it on GPA 17, this method is hit or miss.
I do not like Google's new music app had problems separating albums with the same name

Would it be possible to use the music player on the lockscreen? And I don't really know how to pull scripts to use on terminals. I don't know that much about Android. Yet.

If you install music mod apk from 6.2.1 it will have all the same functionality from my experience with it. Its gestures will work on the lockscreen.

Do you think ROM Toolkit could work, also?

Doubtful, the toolkit needs the BB specific scripts. If you can move them over, then perhaps can get some functionality.

Ok, cool. I need to learn how to tinker with scripts and ROMs.

Download the room and look in the system folders. It gets very very complicated fast, but somtimes you can simply pull stuff over and run it from terminal

Google script ROM droid and you should get a good head start

I didn't realize these would be in the market, much simpler. lol
music mod - Search Android Apps on AppBrain See result #1 and #2
Just install from the market. ignore the froyo warning, works fine for me on GPA 17

I am currently using CM7's music app. I like it better since it can also do google music online. It supports gestures,.. which I never use, but the thought is cool.

Yeah, I noticed that too. The market shows it as installed but the lockscreen doesn't have the player on it.
