I'm hearing that people (like you or me) are starting to think that the original droid 2 is being dropped from updates and that the r2d2 droid and the globla will be the only ones receiving updates from now on. Just a rumor, that I hope is not true

i am almost certain they will be updating the d2. there was a leaked release of the new version of blur that came out a while ago, that shows that at least moto was working on an update.

It did. The leaked version was for the Global. The D2 is officially the redheaded stepchild of the Moto/Verizon line.

Hey well look if nothing else we can install whatever rom we and whatever theme we want and make it feel like GB even if we dont get it. I do think the D2 will get GB its just a matter of time before it happens. I still really like my D2 though. I dont care if it is a red headed step child haha. Imma still rock it out till a D3 comes out or until a X2 comes out maybe. Ill always keep my D2 though

The blur update was for the normal D2 because it added profiles which the global already has. So they are at least working on something.
