Switching out 16gb for 32gb MicroSD question

Just got a 32gb micro sd card in the mail today from good ol' VZW. When I go to replace it in my phone, is it best to do a complete copy of the 16gb card to my C drive, then copy it onto the 32gb card and put it in the phone? Would that be a seamless transition or is there more to it?

I did a search for this and just could not find any answers to this specific question...
 
Why is my sd card seemingly partitioned now, after the update? Can it be undone? When I connect to
The computer, it comes up with a e: drive called motorola cd drive... And the sd card is now on a drive
F:. This is making it imosible to use my usb compatible stereo to play mp3s. The phone used to work
Great as a simple usb mass storage device. Help!
