Switch from Global to CDMA for Improved Battery Life

I read (on another forum) an interesting suggestion resulting in improved battery life. Switching from Global network to CDMA ... presuming you don't need the global roaming. I have not tested this yet but it sounds promising.

The change can be made as follows:

1. Menu/Settings/Wireless & networks/Mobile networks/Network Mode and select CDMA
2. Under "System select" choose "Automatic"

I read that too and made the switch. Haven't used it long enough yet to notice a difference, but I'm willing to try anything practical.
