Stuck on starting download

Hello all,

Just got my droid today and when I try to download any app it gets stuck on starting. I have done a battery pull and a reformat or forced reset and reactivating my phone. None of this worked... any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am going to call customer service tomorrow.

I think the phone knew I posted. Just after I posted I went back and tried again and it worked perfectly! Not sure what was up but I had been trying to download all day!

ya, this is a common problem. the first time, droids have difficulty, on mine it worked after i wiped everything.

These are DRASTIC measures... if it's not downloading, give it time. Sometimes mine don't start for a while, but as long as it says starting download, it WILL download and it WILL let you know when the app is available. It happens.

In the case of today, they just officially released the maps update with pinch-to-zoom, so there was likely HEAVY traffic. The market can only support so many people downloading things at one time.

Patience is a virtue...
