Hey, I just wanted to know how stock rom scales with cpu speed...

Like when you root your droid, you can use set cpu to scale cpu speeds... Does stock droid does the same thing?? within range of their stock cpu speed of 550 MHZ? I'm thinking, when my droid goes to sleep, Cpu probably runs @ 250mhz... or does it always set to run @ 550 MHz even if it is doing nothing ?

Thanks for the help guyz. I just unrooted my droid and was wondering if stock rom does the same scaling...

Someone asked a similar question: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-hacks/30969-stock-rom-cpu-settings.html

So reading that and using adrynalyne as a source, "125, 250, 500, 550, 600. 600 is disabled in stock, but clearly defined in the kernel."

Which would lead me to believe the phone just ups the clock speed as the CPU gets closer to full load.

I know this isnt the direct answer you were looking for, but I hope it helps.
