Speaker toggle button issue

Recent issue with my Incredible, I think since 2.2 update. When I'm on a call the mute toggle button on the call screen is available, but the speaker button is disabled. To go onto speaker I have to use the menu > Speaker on option. Then it works fine, but this isn't the best option when you have your hands full and are trying to switch to speaker quickly. Any ideas what has caused the speaker toggle to be disabled? I've dug around in all the settings and can't find anything, and can't find any posts related to this online.

I've not heard of this issue before, but we do have someone who knows a bit more about the Incredible than I do. Have you looked over on HTC Incredible Forum yet? The member I speak of spends most of his time over there, and it's an incredible (no pun intended) resource for information on the Incredible.
