sooo apple has the ipad....

there are already several tablets with Android on them

side note, I wish my droidforums.net login worked on the other xxxxforums.net in the "network"

I'm sure he hasn't demo'd, however, I must say I have an iphone 3G. It is plodingly slow, even on AT&T's "wonderful" 3G network. I can't imagine what this new pad is going to do to that network. For those that don't read the newspaper there was an article about a month ago where the CEO of AT&T was complaining about data usage on their network and how it was slowing everything down. Can you imagine adding a couple of million new pads, and particular if they do the $129 upgrade to 3G (yes, it costs extra). And it's not even 3GS, on their network it will be a joke.

What I am wondering is what happen to Verizon Wireless? I would have thought Verizon would have got this over AT&T then maybe it wouldn't be a COMPLETE disappointment.

My thoughts on the iPad..

Yeah... I went there :icon_ devil:

Seriously. My phone has more capability than the iPad does.

  1. multitasking
  2. phone
  3. camera
  4. USB port
  5. SD storage
  6. GPU
  7. widescreen
  8. keyboard

I plan to get it. And use my Droid's rooted wirelessly tethering capabilities to run it. So I effectively get the iPad on the Verizon network.

I have a netbook now, and this seems like a decent replacement for my netbook. Price is right and it knocks two birds out with one stone. Was interested in getting a Kindle for some time now and don't have to deal with it now.
