So it seems like this phone is a lil different than my moto droid. Any help?

Ok so Im rooting one of my friends' eris and it seems a little different than mine. Can someone point me to a current site or forum? Every one I find is rooting 1.5 or 2.0. She is running the OTA update of 2.1.

The only main problem is when I open up rom manager and try to flash clockwork, it says 'error executing privilaged permissions." Did I do something wrong? I never had this problem with my moto droid.

You're getting that message because the phone isn't rooted.

Well all I can find is that you have to download a file, open the stock recovery, and flash the update. What do I have to do different?

Oh, nevermind, its hboot ver 1.49, which is apparently unrootable.
