Went to bed at 11 CST, woke up at 3 AM, grabbed my phone and saw this...

So... yeah. Anyone else get this?

Here's the bottom of the screen

So, yeah. Appears Froyo is out and about! And somehow I got it quick! WHOO! Also, it appears I didn't lose root at all. So that's a good thing.

Interesting. I'm happy that it's out & some of you were able to get it, I just wonder why I can't pull it (not that I'm complaining; I figured out how to pull 15+ hours out of my battery - and am pretty happy about that right now). I should be able to get it by going to: settings» about phone» system update - but its not coming though. I'm in the same timezone as the OP (don't know if that makes a difference); I wonder why updates are released in waves - once something is on the network it should be available to everyone (this is my logical, non-techie side talking).

Maybe they're doing it in waves because if they let all 2 million Droid users update at once it'll cause problems server side? I dunno, just shooting stuff out.

Also how did you get 15+ hours out of your DX?!

Good point. Here's even a more important question though - what are we all doing posting on a forum at 4:00, 5:00, 6:00am?...LOL!

I get a good 24 hours on mine

No task killers, screen timeout set to 30 seconds (sometimes a minute) - but here's what made all the difference, singlehandedly - set data timeout to 15 minutes (i had it set to always on). I've been up since 2:30am CST, bored & thus using my phone very heavily; it's now 8:30 - and I just hit 30%. So moderate use will get you 15+ hours.

Good question. Even I don't do that. Well, I did once for an issue I had with a Blackberry but that was a long time ago.

So, are there any confirmed Froyo updates out yet? Other than OP, I have yet to see where someone actually has it...not just thinks they do...

OP, sorry that yours disappeared!
