Is there a way to use the keyboard to control it? It seems the D pad is defaulted as the up/down/left/right movement, but I would rather use W,A,S,D keys

Just hit the menue button and go to options,

I will say, if you make the video output upside down, using the keyboard above the screen so that the d-pad is on the left is a pleasant experience.
