SMS: Message not sent

I have been unable to send text messages on my Droid Razr today. Whenever I attempt to send a text message, I get a notification with the message 'message not sent'.

I have power cycled the device twice already and this has not fixed the problem.

Are you using the default text app on the device, or a 3rd party text app?

If your stock.. go into manage apps, text messaging, clear cache, clear data, force stop...

Reboot the device by holding volume down and power simultaneously.

You WILL lose any saved messages by doing this..
