Is the droid 2 any better than the iIncredible? Ive read that the droid 2 has better battery life, but are there any other differences other than the keyboard?
They both cost the same, and I'm looking for the most bang for my buck! I'd appreciate some help with this decision.
Depends. Do you like a lighter phone or a physical keyboard?
After having the HTC G1 from launch, then the Droid 1, and finally my HTC Incredible I can easily say that I am sticking with lighter phones that do not have a physical keyboard. With Shapewriter or Swype who needs a physical keyboard?
Battery life is a downfall for the Incredible but its screen looks amazing and it has some really great ROM's if you are into rooting.
i think there is only a 1 oz difference in weight. I'm not sure I would even be able to tell the difference. Is the incredible's screen better? If so, how?
I had a Droid 1 as stated, not a droid 2. Between the Droid 1 and HTC Incredible the Incredible seemed loads lighter.
The HTC screen is AMOLED which drains batter quicker but looks far sharper.
Of course many of the Incredibles currently in Verizon stock are not AMOLED.
I would check to see which you can get.
Lastly, when trying to determine which phone to get you need to decide what you want in a phone. I am on business all day meaning lighter is king plus everyone that saw my Droid 1 said the exact same thing, to fat, to heavy, and too ugly. I switched to the HTC Incredible on August 31st and have not stopped getting compliments for it.
I think they only came out with the Droid 2 to satisfy a need, whether real or not, for people who thing they need a real keyboard.
We have 2 D1's here and the two users never use their keyboard. I just sold another person on the Dinc here who wanted to get a BB because of the "real" keyboard.
