shortcut to sound and volume

i just got updated to 2.2 two nights ago. i had a shortcut on my desktop earlier that was directly to the settings where i could set the volumes of media, etc... just noticed this doesn't work anymore. anyone know how i got the shortcut in the first place?

figures i'd post and then find it finally.

in shortcuts, the list shows a settings shortcut, but that's not exactly what it is, a shortcut to setttings, you have to click on that and then you get a sub-menu of various other settings.
