The 30 day trail period is up and I would like to purchase ShapeWriter, but I cannot figure out how to. THe Market only has the free version. The ShapeWriter web site doesn't have any information on a paid version. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck.

Any suggestions, other than using Swipe :)

Well, after telling someone earlier today that they didn't know what they were talking about, I've encountered the same problem. Even worse, uninstalling and reinstalling the app didn't solve it.

My apologies to the earlier poster and I'd simply suggest waiting for ShapeWriter to straighten out what is obviously a problem on their end.

IT is defiantly broken. Here is the reply I received from support

Please note: ShapeWriter Android full/paid version is temporarily
unpublished due to a glitch we ran into with Android Market set-up. We
are waiting for tech help from Google. Please be patient with us, we
will fix it one way or another and bring it back to the Market.
Meanwhile you may use the new trial version.

Thank you for contacting ShapeWriter Inc. If your question is not
answered below, one of our staff will reply as soon as possible. You
may also visit our web forums at ShapeWriter Forum • Index page for
more information and technical assistance.

Well, as you've probably discovered, you cannot use the trial version because the message about it being a trial version repeatedly pops up to cover the keyboard. (Or at least it did so for as long as I was willing to put up with it.)

Hope Shapewriter manages to resolve their problems with the Market. It isn't my favorite input method but it's a good alternative for those who don't have access to Swype and want that approach to text entry.

For those willing to invest a few bucks, SlideIt is another "swiping" input method and works quite well.

I'm using Swipe now. I was lucky enough to get in on the beta. I like ShapeWriter better though...

Interesting. Well, that's why there are Mexican restaurants; so I can get a meal my wife won't eat. I'm strongly partial to Swype though I have to say that with the text-to-speech feature available in the HTC-IME "tap" keyboard, it's probably the most efficient input method in a quiet environment.

Just wanted to provide a quick update. It looks like it's all good once again with ShapeWriter. Go back into the market and update to the latest version and everything will be working just fine.
