Setup Gmail as Exchange in Email app

I would like to use the Combined Inbox feature in the Email app in Froyo to view my Exchange and Gmail messages together. I've used the settings Google recommends for Windows Mobile and iOS, but they do not work in the Email app on Android.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to make this work?

Exchange is a bear to interact with. The android 2.2 update will fix some issues. Until then, I can only suggest that you try Touchdown which can be found in the market.

K9 is another good email client and is free.

Don't know about droid x but stock email client on droid 1 is NOT TO BE USED!!!!! Bad bugs!
