Set high quality wallpapers? (I keep getting pixelated)

So I use Dropbox to sync pics. Downloaded a HUGE resolution .png, and tried to set with Astro. It brings up the box where you crop it, I hit set, and it sets. It looks terribly pixelated. Why is it cropping like ****?

Edit: Got it. Why the hell does Android resample the image before setting? Had to use an app called 'Wallpaper Set and Save'. Worked perfectly with the exact same image.

I had the same problems with all wallpapers, found flikie wallpaper HD to be the best looking.

Also, WallSwitch sets them in full res.
