SD card mount

I've had the droid for half a day and during my tinkering I accidentally unmounted (dismounted?) the SD card. Now it tells me I need to insert one to use the camera and this is where I get confused. I don't see a card, never did see a card, don't even see a place to put a card. :icon_eek: I read some threads on mounting the SD card and it seems like I need to connect it to the computer, yes? I'll have to wait to do that later since I left all the accessories at home.

Edit: Fixed. :icon_ banana:

Yup, connect to a computer and pull down your message bar from the top.. You should have an option to mount/unmount from that. Reply here if it doesn't work. Good luck!

Oh PS: your droid comes w/ a 16GB card that is under the battery. Try restarting first?

What "tinkering" were you doing when you accidentally unmounted the card? The card is located in the battery compartment, left top. It's tiny.

EDIT: I agree with Sam, try a restart first, if you haven't already.

I was just going through menus.
settings > sd card & phone storage settings > unmount SD card

I didn't even mean to select it, it's just where my finger landed.

home - settings - SD card and storage - unmount SD card. you can remount the SD card the same way or try removing it and reinserting it.

Yep, that did it. The first troubleshooting step anyone should try and I failed.
I blame it on it being 8:15 in the morning.

Have you tried reversing this?

settings > sd card & phone storage settings > mount SD card

I hadn't, but it doesn't matter now. I'll just keep it in mind in the future.

restart to mount

I did the same thing, accidentally dismounted the SD card while learning the phone. I just turned the phone off and back on and the SD was remounted for me.
