screen wont come on

When I press the stand-by button to turn the touch screen on it stays black and i have to play with the button to get it to turn on.

Sounds like it's a defective (my opinion) switch. Get thee to a Verizon Store and see what they say. Anything you have to "fiddle with" to get to work properly should be covered by the factory warranty (again, my opinion).

Yeah, and I avoided the obvious jokes about "playing with" and "turning on".
