sbf same version of 2.3.20 ota

I have 2.3.20 upgraded via OTA from 2.2.20.I have heard cases where u can't sbf if u ota, but what about the same version?can I sbf 2.3.20 over the ota'd 2.3.20 version?

I should have looked deeper..found this thread here:

Basically can SBF over OTA same or newer version, but of course never behind or at least for the most part on official releases (ex. 2.3->2.2)...now to read up on which ROM to try out. Having issues with wifi tethering via 2.3.20 rooted via barnacle and android tether figured maybe a new ROM might bring actual connectivity.
