Previously we shared a rumor that Samsung would be launching an "upgraded" version of the Galaxy S4 in South Korea that would feature a Snapdragon 800 processor and LTE-Advanced. Samsung just confirmed this rumor late last night by officially announcing the device. Everything else within the smartphone is the same as the regular model of the SGS4. The only exceptions are the improved quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz, and the fact that the new LTE-A radio supports 150Mbps data speeds wherever you can find those networks.

Above we have a video showing off the LTE-A speeds of the new superphone, but you will need to brush up on your Korean to fully comprehend all of it. The new phone will be available at first only in Aurora Red and Arctic Blue. There is one other bit of noteworthy news associated with this launch, the device is apparently not just limited to South Korea. In fact, Samsung made it clear that they intend to roll it out to international markets in the coming months. Verizon even commented that the faster radio will work with their service when they begin to roll-out their LTE-Advanced network in the future.

Hmmmm.... this seems to encourage thinking twice before becoming an early adopter... :(

LTE-A and the 64gb model. Goodby Apple. Hope Verizon and Samsung don't blow it.
Keep on dreaming, yea a 64 Gig version of this phone on Verizon "NOT", and LTE-A will not be available till late 2014 in the US, they have barely covered standard LTE. The market that this LTE-A is launching in is really small in Korea, heck Texas is bigger than Korea.

I was thinking the same thing, they probably only needed to update 10 towers!!

It would be nice to have a device that it a tad more future proof though!!
