Here's a hot Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge story we just missed from late yesterday. Apparently AT&T and T-Mobile have released pricing details for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, and they are not that bad after all. Here's the scoop:
T-Mobile - (all of these with T-Mobile will include one year of Netflix for free)
  • 32GB Samsung Galaxy S6 = $679.92 off contract or $0 down and 24 monthly payments of $28.33
  • 64GB Samsung Galaxy S6 = $759.99 off contract or $99.99 down and 24 monthly payments of $27.50
  • 128GB Samsung Galaxy S6 = $859.99 off contract or $199.99 down and 24 monthly payments of $27.50
  • 32GB Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge = $779.76 off contract or $0 down and 24 monthly payments of $32.49
  • 64GB Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge = $859.83 off contract or $99.99 down and 24 monthly payments of $31.66
  • 128GB Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge = $959.83 off contract or $199.99 down and 24 monthly payments of $31.66

AT&T only revealed pricing details for the 32GB model of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. With AT&T's Next 24 plan, the Galaxy S6 is $22.84 a month for 30 months. This totals $685.20.

The S6 Edge is priced at $27.17 a month for 30 months, for a total of $815.10. As an incentive, AT&T is offering buyers of either version a $50 discount on a Samsung Gear Circle Bluetooth Stereo headset purchased via AT&T Next.

As you can see, although the S6 Edge is fairly expensive, the rumors of a $1000 price were unfounded. The only one which comes close to that price is the 128GB version of the S6 Edge at $960. It's also interesting to see how much more AT&T is charging for these devices than T-Mobile. That's all for now!

Seems about right to me. If that's too steep give it a couple months and the prices will drop by $100-150. That's been SOP across the board for years.

AT&T had higher full retail price on the S5 by $50, compared to Big Red. Sprint was also, iirc.
