Run Droid apps on PC?

any way to run Android apps on a PC? -- for someone that doesn't have an Android device...

You would need to download an emulator. Here is the info:

Couldnt you also just get the developer's kit and do things that way? I know it's not free, but it seems to me like the easier solution.

I got the google sdk kit and it has a emulator in it.
