It looks like a new leak regarding the LG G Watch reveals the specs and pricing of the device. From this leaked intel, the device will have fairly low-end specs; however, it looks like it will have a lower price than other competing devices too. Here's the leaked specs:

  • Qualcomm processor, model APQ8026 - unknown details on the processor
  • 1.6-inch display resolution of 280x280 pixels
  • Android Wear
  • 4 GB storage
  • 512MP RAM
  • 400mAh Battery
If these turn out to be the final specs they seem rather mediocre, although the battery is decent for this size device and the price will be equivalent. This leak indicated the price of the G Watch might be pretty low, perhaps hovering around the $200-$250 range. AT $199 that might be worth considering, but at $250 and more it starts to become an expensive toy. We will keep our eye out for more details.

Why are the specs low-end?
What are we comparing them to?

Just curious.

Good point. It is hard to know whether this is a good deal or bad deal until we see the full spec sheet of the moto 360 with its price point. Plus we will need to see some head to head comparisons.

I don't really get the point of smart watches. As a fitness device I see the potential, but it defeats the purpose if it needs a BT connection to your phone.

The specs are a bit lower end than the closest competitor, the Galaxy Gear 2: Samsung's Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit are Available for Retail Globally [Poll] | Android Watch Forum

1.63-inch 320 x 320 AMOLED display
1GHz dual-core processor
512MB of RAM
4GB of internal storage
2 megapixel camera
Pedometer, heart rate sensor, sleep cycle monitor and more
Bluetooth 4.0 LE
irLED
Accelerometer and gyroscope
300mAh battery (Samsung claims 2-3 days of average usage)

As we can see, some of the specs are comparable, while others are lower end (display, camera, etc.), with the exception of the battery which is better on the G Watch.
