RSD Lite wont flash my phone?

Sorry if I have put this in the wrong section of the forum, Mods feel free to move if nessesary. So for the last 2 days I have tried to go back to 2.1 so I can get the OTA 2.2. I am running the leaked 2.2 and was rooted with a bunch of bloatware moved, I have moved back all of the bloatware and now have unrooted my phone. When I follow all of the steps laid out to flash back, RSD instantly comes up with an error that says "internal error" or something to that effect as soon as I hit the start button. I am running windows vista and have made sure that the 32 bit drivers are there. Any help would be greatly appreciated..

I actually just watched the video on RSD Lite and realized that the File Properties never comes up when I put in the SBF file, so is the file name coming up incorrectly? possibly

did you make sure you put the patch in the correct place?

I am pretty sure, I did it a couple times just to make sure, I put it in the RSD Lite folder in Program folders andd each time it asked me if I was sure I wanted to over wright it, which I did.
