rooting?

Haha! I was thinking the same thing. I don't know if he understands that people are talking about the NON dev phone being rooted. I know the dev one is already done thanks to P3Droid. But the regular M is not rooted nor being worked on from what I can find. No one wants to do it anymore. I guess root is only for the rich who can buy each $600 phone that comes out now. :frown:

I understand the crowd. I have the regular m. Wasn't gonna drop $600 on a dev phone. Ha

Well if you unlocked your reg m, please pass the links along so we can do it too. But from what I have found, its not possible.

Well that's hope full. But not the best info for me. I just updated my m to jellybean to see if the leak had any vulnerabilities. And the fastboot sbf process back to ICS is very shady. But well just have to wait and see.

I fastbooted back with the fxz that was released over the weekend and it worked fine. Per mattlgroff, had to take the getvar command line out of the xml file, then rsdlite 5.9 ran it perfectly. Just ran it this afternoon.

Can't guarantee it won't blow your phone up, but it worked for me. ;)

Ok, got a solid working root on the non Dev M. Bootloader still locked, have not been able to flash a recovery tho. Now I have a boot into AP fastboot every time the phone reboots. But root works.

Lolz! Used RSDlite and broke my phone with the first attempt. Lousy bootloader! Gotta say this is a fairly robust phone though, I flashed it again with a fresh download and it worked and kept my root!
