Hello all, I've had a little experience with this sort of thing as I just switched my G1 over to project elite.
My honey just got me a generic tablet (Amazon.com: iPad Alternatives (5) - 7" Android 2.1 Tablet PC - CAPACITIVE Multi-Touch Screen - Dual Core Processor - 256MB DDR2 - 4GB NAND Flash - Wi-Fi - G-Sensor - USB2.0 Port & HDMI Port: Electronics)
and I would like to put honeycomb onto it.
The model listed in settings is TR718D which google seems to indicate is an apad710. However, mine is def capacitive (won't work with a stylus or a glove, not a resistive screen) where apad 710s are listed as resistive.

My questions is this, Since the tablet has absoultely no branding whatsoever, does anyone know if this is the same as any branded tablet, and if so which one?

If it's not the same, and the real question that I have is this:

What would happen if I used a rom that was meant for a different device?
Would my tablet be usable?
Thank you for any suggestions and help!!!!!
