Rooted droid getting VZW 2.1 update pushed?

I have droidmod 1.0 installed. This AM i am suddenly getting the verizon update pushed to my phone. From what i understood if you were rooted this would not happen. My system recovery is not stock. Are other droid users who are rooted having the same issue? Does anyone know what will happen if you tried to process the update?
