Ok,

I rooted a little while back. running BB 0.4 froyo rom.

got setcpu, titanium backup, a wifi tether app.

Other than those three things, I really am not seeing what more makes rooting so great.

So.... what now?

download rom manager. It lets you find new roms and themes and lets you easily backup and restore your current roms and you can find kernels with it too. Just downloading a rom and just leaving it at that is only the start of what you can do with rooting. You can overclock your droid safely with different kernels with varying voltages and clock speeds. Experimentation is how you will find your droid's optimal form like right now i am running BB 0.4 with chevyNo1's Ultra Low Voltage 7 slot 1.25 Ghz kernel and i am running a droid X theme. Just keep experimenting till you find your "perfect" droid set up.

try running CM 5.0.8 you will see a lot more features then most other roms as its compiled from source and customized by a large community CM 6 is in the works with a froyo base but run CM 5.0.8 for alteast a week or so it might give you a better look at root
