can anyone provide a link where I can download the latest rom manager apk FREE version? I am unable to download the FREE version from the market, I have been trying to download the FREE version for the last few days, it says its downloading and every time I try to cancel the download of the FREE version, the market fc's. Any help with that issue would also be appreciated.

Once again to make it perfectly clear I am looking for the FREE version of rom manager
And once more... I am only intrested in the FREE version

Okay my other question is do you have the paid version of RM already?? I know for me they work off each other and am wondering if that maybe part of the problem (if you don't have the paid version of RM).

I do have the paid version. That and every other app I have tried will download and install fine, just not the free version.

Hummmmmm Okay, you got me stummped. The only other thing I can think of is to try to uninstall your paid RM, do a battery pull while the phone is on, then reboot and go into the market, try to download the free RM first then the paid RM.

I have been thinking that as well, I have rebooted the phone many times and as soon as it loads and I open market it says its downloading rom manager and I can't cancel it reguardless of paod version beinginstalled or not.

Unfortunately I am all out of ideas. You may want to go to the Rescue Squad thread and post there to see if anyone has any other suggestions. I am sorry that I was unable to help you. If you do find a fix can you pm me and let me know as I am curious at this point.

I think your next move without the .apk is a factory data reset.

You could try turning off all syncing, background applications and google. Then reboot the phone, and check to see if you see your current version in the app manager under settings. If you have some kind of install, you might just get by with either uninstalling, or clearing defaults etc.

what rom are you running? you I would post you a link to an apk but I cannot upload at the moment you could rip it out of the CM update.zip file on Motorola Droid - CyanogenMod Forum
or try asking the dev on twitter if he has it linked up somewhere

I am running bb v0.1. I habe thought about ripping the file from cm but I am on the road and will not be back to my desktop for 2 weeks, so I am stuck with nothing but my droid... my poor laptop had a hdd head crash,

I am experiencing the exact same issue attempting an automatic update of the free Rom Manager.

I am using JRummy's Kangerade 1.0 NexTHEME.
