Thanks Click to expand... I dunno what other people do, but I sometimes make backups of the .apk on my SD card, and sometimes dump them on my ftp server. Not all apps can be backed up, but a lot can. All you need is a backup app, or a file manager that has backup support built in. I usually rename the file to include what revision it was too.
