i prefer rockplayer when it comes to avi.

I loaded up both, liked vplayer, paid for it, only to find out that rockplayer seems to work better. Vplayer seems to skip or just refuse to play some files.

I should have tested a bit longer.

I settled on QQplayer because it's free and worked with the media files I had. It has a feature where it will scan for media. So far, no complaints.
