ring tones for Verizon Droid

I am so lost it is not funny. I downloaded a song from verizon website it was sent to my phone but I can not figure out how to set ring tones for different people, a separate ring tone for each job I have please help the book that came with it sucks

Let's see if I have this right.

Phone > Contacts > Select contact you wish to have a ringtone assigned for > Menu > Options > Ringtone
