Somehow I got some junk fotos transferred from my HD to my Droid. They show up in Gallery but can't be deleted. They're not on the SD card cause I rebooted without and they were still there. Can't find them when I attach Droid to computer. They must be somewhere! Where? Thank you and HAND.:)

Could be in a sub folder under downloads. I had this happen to me, and that's where they were on my phone.

Droid Does......iPhone duhs not!

Thanks, but...

Appreciate your concern. When I long press I get a "more" icon which will give me the option of "details" or set as wallpaper. Photos I took with the camera are in DCIM. Where are the photos or images that are in "Gallery"? They are not in "Download" as previously suggested. Can I just delete the entire contents of Gallery and start clean? Thanks again.

On my unrooted droid I use File Manager App and located cached photos maybe your problem lies there the route would be:
/sdcard/android/data/com.cooliris.media/cache
