Recurring Meetings are Missing from Calendar

Brand new Droid 4 phone. I installed my corp email and my email and contacts are fully in sync. However, my calendar is missing all of my recurring appointments. I have searched the forums and i see there are a bunch of 3rd party apps that some folks are recommending like Touchdown, but i was wondering if there was any way to get this working with the native apps that come on the phone.
