Is there a way to find out which app/process is responsible for a random reboot? A Windows event viewer equivalent would be ideal. There has been no discernible pattern thus far.
Oh, I'm not rooted either.
I don't believe so, you just have to keep track of what you downloaded and if your phone started crashing after you downloaded something, delete it and see what happens!
It's a defective phone. I had the same problem. Verizon didn't believe that it was happening until I showed them video I took of my phone. They gave me a new one and it hasn't rebooted once.
It is not the phone, its an app, this will be the 3rd phone I have had and the reboots are due to an app, I certainly do not know which one however as I wasn't paying attention to shock one it started after.my suggestion would be to backup your phone and do a factory reset, however remember to remove your SD card before resetting the phone or you will wipe the SD card too. And the install your apps one by one and wait a few days in between each app, and by a few days I mean like four to five days.
Mine is rebooting after a factor reset with no apps installed.
This is my second replacement since I got the phone a month ago. The first phone had a buzzing in the speaker.
Now I will prob get a refurbished phone from Verizon with someone's other problem. Do you think they are shipping new replacements since it has been out only a month?
I have to say, this is my first android and the quality control is lacking. Does anyone test these before they go out?
I had the same blackberry for 2 years without a single problem.

Post #6 is still accurate in this case as I also did a factory reset. Simply walk into Verizon and let them see it reboot or take a video of it happening. You'll walk out with a new one in hand. If not go to another store because you should get a new one not a refurbished one. If they bring out a refurbished one make it clear that refurbs are an unacceptable solution.
