Quickly entering calendar appointments from a month-view widget?

I use launcher pro and wish the full screen calendar widget would allow me to enter a new appointment after long pressing on a specific date in month view.

Is there anything out there that will do something similar to this? I dread selecting day and month with the up/down stores our the on screen keyboard when I've already pressed on the day I have chosen.

Try Calendar pad, its free. I think this did what you wanted but I switched to Launcher Pro for my calendar widget as well.
